Kawa Kawa print - Women's Refuge Fundraiser
This simple leaf has had quite the journey from being plucked from Lake Papaitonga in Horowhenua, scanned, turned into a plate using solar plate etching and finally printed using a 19th century proofing press in the heart of Foxton. A beautiful collaboration between modern and traditional printing technologies.
Insects eat Kawa Kawa with the strongest medicinal properties. Thia simple bug eaten Kawa Kawa heart is a symbol of healing.
Note: all prints will have minor differences, each piece is unique, numbered and signed by the artist.
