Salon brand refresh
We were asked for help in refreshing the look and feel of this high end salon's brand. En Jay salon is a welcoming, relaxed space, stylishly decorated and comfortable. We digitised En Jay’s existing logo to allow us the option to be more playful with the executions we had in mind and to bring to life the fact that En Jay is an award winning salon. The existing colour palette Nicky was using was predominantly shades of brown which gave some warmth but lacked the level of prestige that we thought the salon deserved. So we introduced purples and golds which worked really well with her space and the ambience we were after. And the glue that was to hold the brand refresh together was right in front of our eyes. Well, actually it was hanging from the ceiling! En jay has a grand chandelier that you can see from the entrance, and once through the door it’s there – right above your head! We had to incorporate this as what better a symbol of opulence and delicacy can there be?! We created a striking window decal to take advantage of the big glass area that En Jay has. We really pushed the signwriter to the limit by making the detail as fine as possible and selecting a rich gold that had a level of finesse that was to reflect the level of the workmanship of the stylists themselves. Once installed the salon came to life as trendy, upmarket and modern workspace when viewed from a distance, which was part of our brief. We also revamped the price list, loyalty cards and opening hours signage. A Lovely job and a prime example of how Lemonface Design can work with existing brands, give them some love and produce beautiful end results.
