Chalice Consulting based in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand is a consultancy specialising in land management and environmental advice and project management.
I was delighted to be asked by a former work colleague to bring his new business venture and brand to life. Warwick set up Chalice Consulting, a Bay of Plenty based consultancy specialising in land management, environmental advice and project management. There is a beautifully symbolic reason behind the name ‘Chalice’ - a combination of Warwick’s daughters Charlie and Alice. Cute!
Chalice is also representative of holding our environment dear. My brief was to develop the brand identity that would incorporate land, water and the chalice itself. Note how the chalice is overflowing to symbolise abundance in New Zealand’s natural resources. Land, soil and water are represented through the choice of colours they represent and the chalice itself symbolises protection. Moreover the chalice is shaped like a leaf to represent precious New Zealand flora.
The tag line ‘For people, for the environment’ is a nod to cultural belief that there is a deep kinship between humans and the natural world. This connection is expressed through kaitiakitanga – a way of managing the environment. To date letterheads and business cards have been produced with a website waiting in the wings. Such a great job to be involved with such a strong and sustainable message. Lovely!
